spike7451
Chadders kindly sent me the above kit last week (Many many thanks mate) so here's my first WWII WIP.The kit's very good in the moulding side of things, crisp details & lots of it for the inside, considering it'll mostly be hidden when the sides are closed up.. I've made a start of painting the insides using Humbrol 90 which'll be lightened by the drybrushing later.Models going to be OOB apart from some home made foil seatbelts. So far... Miggers
Go with 5 parts Humbrol 90 to 1 part Humbrol 78. That seems to be a very close match to Supermarine's cockpit colour of not quite Beige Green but certainly not Cockpit Green shade. A light wash of 78 followed by a dry brush of 90 seems to do the trick well. Mark
spike7451
Cheers Mark, the cockpit came out OK,one drawback of being in a modelling rut is the bleedin paints dry up! To date I've got the main fusalage & wings on,just letting the glue dry & just a tiny bit of filler where the sprues were cut off. It's been one of the most enjoyable kits I've made in a long long time! Photo's to follow.
tank152
This kit was my introduction into the aircraft modelling world, I really enjoyed building mine. Edited November 6, 2011 by tank152
