Alan P
Hi folks, i ordered a couple of 1/72 X-Fighters (XF-103 and XF-108) direct from Anigrand and they arrived from Hong Kong within a few days. Very good sharp casting and quality they were too. However, one of them (XF-103)has one of the fuselage halves missing I've emailed them but so far no reply. Has anyone had any dealings with them directly? If so, any help would be appreciated. TIA Alan
general melchett
Al I got this pair also , but from Hannants as I didn't fancy trying to get them replaced from HK if damaged. Point is they both arrived with problems , bits broken and one very warped fuselage half with the entire rear end missing !!!! ( on the XF-103) !!.Sent them both back and asked them to open boxes to find undamaged ones, which they duly did .Within the week I received two perfect copies !. They are delicate but from the friends who have them most seem to have had problems of some sort or another... Cheers, Andy.

marty_hopkirk
Have to say how I find. I have been ordering direct [one gets big saving and delivery speed is extremely good - sometimes better than ordering from UK retailers] from Anigrand pretty much since they started and given the unique subject matter I have always been satisfied. Any queries I have had have always been promptly answered by Arnold. The kits themselves I have found to be some of the better resin kits on the market. I know it does not help the original poster, but thought I would chime in. Marty... Edited November 22, 2008 by marty_hopkirk

Alan P
Just to update, i got an email from Arnold at Anigrand and they are sending the part. I helped them out by copying the kit parts photo from their website and indicating the missing one using photoshop - he mailed back about an hour later. Spellbinder99
I had a few warped or shrunk resin parts on the 1/144 Buran kits that were replaced no-questions asked by Arnold. Get right on any problems if you find them and it is pretty easily solved. Cheers Tony Edited November 24, 2008 by Spellbinder99
marty_hopkirk
Glad the issue has been resolved. I bought Angirands first kit, the Bell X-22 when it arrived it was missing the vac glazing - the missing part was with me a few days later, can't say better than that. Tto me thats how one judges a company, not when it is all "hunky dory", but how they react when its not. From that point of view Anigrand are top notch. Marty... Alan P
Quick update on this: Just received a crisply cast replacement part from Honkers. (Though inexplicably it is a small percentage larger than the original kit part?! Ends up about 1mm wider all round and about 3mm longer overall, so it's not going to line up somewhere ) Still, glad to have it all resolved.
