smuts
Hi guys thinking about doing some soviet & current Russian armour & AFV's, who's producing the best kits at the moment if it was WWII I'd look straight to Dragon with Tamiya for the JSII but modern stuff I'm not sure. Guest snipersmudge
Andy for modern russian stuff you can't go far wrong with trumpeter. Some very nice kits plus nice and cheap too
Stebos
I have a couple of interesting kits in the stash that seem decent enough: The SAM 6 launcher by Trumpeter, apparently the only real fault is skinny looking missiles, but I've seen a few built and it's very nice. Cheap too. I recently also picked up Dragons ZSU 23-4V1 Shilka AA gun, it's rather unusual looking and while an older kit, seems a decent one. Harder to find but also quite reasonably priced. I tend to avoid pure tanks, so anything along that path I'm not sure on.
Antoine
Agree with Pete, look for Trumpeter, just avoid their first armour kits, like the T-55 family. For a T-55, go tamiya, with a little bit of aftermarket (There is enough choice) T-72, tamiya again, to go along with some miniarm stuff. T-80, nothing really good, forget about Dragon, and the reboxed revell. Maybe tamiya's T-72, again with Miniarm. BMP, not much choice, it will be Dragon, but check your references. Shlka, same as above. BRDM, idem. BTR60/70, no choice but revell. PT76, Trumpeter without hesitation. T-34/85 or Su-100, Dragon, without hesitation.
