Nev
http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2137 Nice to see the markings in green (unlike the mock-up), and that its in a 2-tone grey camo. I await the Model Alliance decals!
F-32
Very nice spot indeed, really glad it's got full colour markings!
Rob M.
Working on the colours, looks like Barley Grey with 'German Typhoon' Grey on top. Cheers, Rob M.
atdb27
Yep a good spot. Like the C-130 as well Adrian
Rob M.
Jet flew for the first time today in front of some Saudi VIPs. It's gained some additional colourful squadron markings on the tail since the weekend too. Did a nice close formation on their executive jet as they flew out too! Cheers, Rob M. Mike
That's quite an American stylee scheme, isn't it? The Saudi "roundel" on the tail stands out like neon light though
AnonymousER99
Sweet!!! Sure good to see the Typhoon getting some export love. The Saudis now most certainly have the most formidable AF in the Mid East besides Israel for sure.
Gary C
Working on the colours, looks like Barley Grey with 'German Typhoon' Grey on top.Cheers, Rob M. Looks like the Mod Eagle scheme, makes sense from a commonality point of view... 36176 over 36251, standard for the F-15C, the new F-15S looks like it's carrying the same colours too, albeit a bit faded already! http://royalsaudiairforces.googlepages.com...lag08-22_01.jpg

Guest Drewe
Having looked at the second flight pics I'd tend to agree with Gary, looks like a fresh coat of Mod-Eagle to me as well, right down the warmness of the lighter colour and the coldness of the darker colour, which is one of the real markers of the Mod-Eagle scheme. Nev
Gotta say, I've never liked the Mod Eagle scheme on F-15s, but it looks reet smart on the Tiffie
Rob M.
I am reliably informed by my colleagues in Typhoon Flight Test that the jet is painted in colours 'already cleared' for Typhoon. I will attempt to gain clarification. Rob M.
Bobski
Re the paint - I have been told the same info as Rob M, ie that it is German Grey over RAF Grey. What I do know for certain is that it is NOT the Mod Eagle scheme! Re the markings - don't even get my started on decals for this thing! I've had a good walkaround it at Warton and a lot of them are a pain in the behind (like the grey 'low-viz' RSAF roundels and the Squadron badges on the tail). I suppose my "Something Saudi" cat is well and truly out of the bag now. Oh well, it was nice to have a couple of weeks head start before the photos became public. Now all I need to do is get it finished for Telford! Edited October 31, 2008 by Bobski
