I'm almost ready to assemble the undercarriage, but looking at my reference pictures I can't figure out what colour the landing gear struts should be. The instructions in the kit would have me painting most of it black, but the pictures (in post 3 of this thread), show them to be much lighter in colour. Here is 'Sugar's' gear: Pics of Lancs with all the struts etc painted black are fairly common, but so are pics with part or most of the structure in natural metal, like the monochrome pics of 'Prune'. peebeep Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Would this aircraft have had aerial wire running from the tails to the cockpit area? I can't see any in the photos.
