RAF Vehicles 1942

I'm building a 1/48 Douglas Boston for my Uncle who flew them during the war and I'd like to put it in a diorama setting.

There seem to be very few 1/48 British vehicles available, other than from Accurate Armour costing £100 +

The only cheaply available Allied vehicle in this scale, other than Tanks is the Willys Jeep but I wondered if this would be seen on RAF airfields during 1942 and if so in what colour scheme?
