Tim B Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Hello everyone, I haven't got an eagle in my collection yet, so I'll be doing the hasegawa 1/48 F-15C as a J. More info soon. Cheers, Tim
bexwh773 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Im not keen on F-Teenyboppas, but, Tims a bit on the good side at building models so.............. & at the ready Bex
Tim B Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 Like the Kraken I have laid dorment for too long. I shall rise! Pluck a virgin from the cliffs then descend to my lair and spray a white dragon on her back... Anyway... Here's what I'll be attempting to put together: I'll also be using Gunze Aqueous paints for the first time on this build, which i'm awfully excited about

AnonymousER99 Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Good choice Tim!! May I suggest you get a set of Aires Featherless exhausts for that guy? That boxing of the Eagle only has the feathered ones. Cheers Mike

Cheers, Tim

You will have to cut the PE actuators but they go right in. The Aires cans are beautiful though and well worth the dosh if you choose that route.
Tim B Posted October 6, 2008 Author Posted October 6, 2008 That's the word I was looking for...PM sent. Thanks. Mental I meant this dragon... can i still play please?
Nev Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Really nice choice - I have a set of those Aries exhausts (need another set as well) and I have to say they are exquisite!

Tim B Posted October 27, 2008 Author Posted October 27, 2008 Many thanks Mike! and good evening all. I have made progress. Not much, but some. I painted the seat once and it turned out like this: The green looked a bit 'icky' as Karl put it. and I wasn't really happy with it being a type A ACES II when it should be a type B (I think). So I got another Aires ACES II type B seat and am currently painting it up: Hopefully I'll get the cockpit done and the front fuselage together by tomorrow evening. No promises Cheers, Timothy
Tim B Posted October 28, 2008 Author Posted October 28, 2008 Thanks Bex. The seat is now done and the cockpit is coming along nicely... More soon, Tim
Robert Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Wow great painting for the cockpit, and it is still attached to the sprue ! Robert
Tim B Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 (edited) Thanks people. Just a quick update to let Mike know that the nozzles have arrived and got the electronics bay painted.. I can't take credit for painting the instrument panels. they are from the Eduard zoom set. Just the throttle to add, then the cockpit is just about done. cya Tim Edited October 29, 2008 by Tim B
Tim B Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 (edited) The front fuselage halves are together and after what seems like an age, the PE actuators are added to one of the exhaust nozzles... Now off to do the other one. Getting the hang of this now.. Tim Edited October 30, 2008 by Tim B
