AnonymousDFB1
Just looked at the decal on the bonnet/hood and I'm not happy with it. Even with Microsol it hasn't settled well and has cracked in a couple of places. I might try and remove it and just go with the cool silver finish If necessary I can respray the bonnet/hood. AnonymousDFB1
Took the decal off today and the hood/bonnet plus a small area on the nose cone will need respraying., no worries though I can do it.
Diesel Gypsy
Shame about the decal & rework Mish. Was the damage caused by the Microsol or by the removal of the decal. The reason I ask is that I've had trouble with Microsol & Set reacting with acrilic paint finishes, including Klear.
AnonymousDFB1
The decal was c**p and yes the sol did take off the acrylic but I was expecting that I used a fair amount to soften it for removal. It's no biggy though. I'll try and put some pics up later today, another busy day here I'm afraid, job centre and interview today.
Diesel Gypsy
Good `ol Monogram decals ahe, they can be right sods sometimes. Good luck with the respray. And good luck with the interview Mish. I hope it comes good for you

Stevieboy
Thats amazing Mish, what a save. You'd never know it had been damaged. Cracking job. Hi All, Just been looking at the pic's Mish you have done a good job there I had a nightmare on Sunday with the 69 Mach 1 absolutly everything was going great I had built the engine and done 2 coat's of paint to the body did a quick rub down and got everything ready for the final coat I had done 3 sides and on the last side the spray paint seemed to jam for a split second and then just sprayed out everywhere and the damage was done-I got in touch with Sean to ask for his hammer ! but after a good rest and back in the shed this morning I think I have pulled it back will know tomorrow but all else is going good engine is done and wired and the wheel's have been painted. 42 year's a modeller and I still can't get it right??
