Obi-Jiff Kenobi
Just found this on Historicus Forma: http://hfmodeling.kitmaker.net/modules.php...le&sid=4206 Looks like a very good set. I'm particularly interested because of the Welbike, which was designed at SOE (Special Operations Executive) Station IX, The Frythe, in Welwyn, close to where I live. Now, does anyone know where I can buy Tristar kits in the UK?

Obi-Jiff Kenobi
Hannants carry Tristar. I had a look on the website, they only list one item, and that's in second-hand.
denstore
I found 4, and of those, 2 in the new section.
Obi-Jiff Kenobi
I found 4, and of those, 2 in the new section. You're right, although when I looked around 9am they only had the single second-hand item listed. If and when the Paras appear, I may have to pre-order. kitnut617
At first I thought you were refering to a particular fold up bicycle also used, but after looking at the link I can see it's a motor scooter. I seem to remember seeing one of those at Bovington Tank Museum one time, many years ago though as I haven't been there since before 1980. As a kid I used to ride around on a type of fold up paras bike which my Dad had in the cellar, actually he had three of them. The frame was made in an eliptical shape with two small diameter parallel tubes running from the front fork bearing head stock to the rear wheel axle, there were two large wing nuts, one just in front of the saddle on the top rails ( not a good thing if your foot slipped of the pedal, if you know what I mean) and the other just before the crank bearings on the bottom rails which you undid to fold the bike in half. It was the brakes that I really liked about the bike, as they were hub brakes and actually worked when it rained.
