Skii
Cheers John - they'll do, not as tidy as I'd wished - been studying a few pic's of other builds on here(!) and Neil's on ARC - how do you all manage to do it so neatly? dswoofie
Ooooh! I'd missed this one before... Mmmmm Ripple Jag! Bill, that's looking mighty nice! I love the detailing on the u/c legs, very good. The paint job looks rather nice second time around, that was well worth the re-doing of it. What have you used for the decals? Are the cobbled together from kits, or are they AM ones? I'll keep an eye on this build now as it's going to be well worth it. Karl.

Thanks Karl, The decals are a 'mongrel" job....bitsathis, bitsathat!! Fuselage Roundels are from a Model Alliance Hawk, Upper wing roundels and serial from Xtradecal., as is the fin flash laid on top of a white decal lozenge - which broke up on the edges so I used Xtradecal white stripes for the outline. Stencils are mostly from a MA sheet. I'll use some of the kits decals as well - the tailplane stripes (are these no walkway marks? If so why are they below as well?) are cut from the fuel tanks stripes..... Still quite a few decals to add - no wonder its taking so long!!!!! Shaun
I'll use some of the kits decals as well - the tailplane stripes (are these no walkway marks? If so why are they below as well?) are cut from the fuel tanks stripes..... These are test strips. On ZB615 they appear to be painted over, but on XX145 and XX833 they are unpainted and are coated with zinc cromemate. XX145. http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Se...next_id=0788612 XX833, in Normal grey camoflage http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/Se...;next_id=NEXTID These strips have only appeared on the Boscombe down based Jaguars. Shaun. Thanks Shaun, I've studied a few pic's of '615 and based the model on this particular photo - the strips are very apparent here - though I may have "over-emphasised" them on my model......I may change them later -I'll see what the finished model looks like when nearing completion.... AnonymousAA72
OKAY..........last post here on theis baby was in September......2008! So, as I approach "finals" on my GR1 (IN the "Critique Section") I've been busy beavering away on my T2. Here's how far I've managed to get thus far... Canopy Paragons. Masked and painted black - as have the cans (2 for the GR1 and 2 for the T2) ready for Alclad. Windscreen added Then some Micro Metal Foil adhesive...t ..and thin strips of plastic card for the framing - this was touched up with dots of superglue. Here she is now- still a bit of tidying up to do.. And here with her GR1 stable mate...
AnonymousAA72
Been messing about with Photoshop and trying to get the exposure right on this - The large white areas are a pain to photograph!
