I'm amazed how much the avionics pack and the CFTs change the overall appearance of the Viper.

It's going to look quite busy on the top surfaces when your done sticking all that resin on.

Not an F16 fan as you know, but I quite like this version. I think you should try and replicate the reinforcement around the PB housing. :evil_laugh:

This is going well! :thumbsup2:

The resin quality looks a lot better than the IsraCast version, I have to say.

Hi Phatness,

The CMK resin parts are a very near perfect fit, the avionics spine dropped on with no trouble at

all, Hopefully I'll get the casting blocks cut off the CFTs and test fit then this weekend, dont think they will cause any issues

Hi all,

Didnt manage to get a lot done this weekend but had a mini disaster with the Aires pit. I thought i'd give the tamiya plastic and metal primer a go as the colour looked about right for the pit, all went well and the control panels were painted after leaving the primer dry for 24 hours. I then decided to give the whole tub a wash with my favourite oils and then disaster !! The wash lifted all the primer in big flakes............ :analintruder: So its back to the drawing board but with Halfords Primer !!

Regards

Dan

Nothing much further done, cockpit reprimed, Aires Burner Cans prepped and await primer.

Drop tanks have been fitted together and sanded, awaiting rescribing and further detailing.

ECM sensor cut from kit tail and grafted onto the new CMK resin tail, just need some blending in

Kit main pylons have been filled and sanded, awaiting rescribing, why did Hasegawa make the fitting of stores so awkward ???

Had to cut the mounting lugs from the supplied drop tanks and use the lugs to fill the pylons.

Hopefully I should get the pit finished by next week and the fuz joined up.

Still working on the Bucc slipper tanks whilst building this kit Mike !

Well done Dan!! I have only one little thing you may want to adjust. On the exhaust only the insides of the divergent seals are ceramic (white coated) the outside are VERY dark, almost black.

Cheers

Mike
