Dads203
Here you go folks, Just in the rough out stange at the moment, most of the time spent was taken up with sanding back the Aires pit. nothing to drastic and I would class it as one of the better fitting cockpit sets. Grafted the Aires HUD onto the new CMK nose front, being careful not to damage the blade antenna A touch of brass for the wheel wells Air intake has been glued and the awful ejector pin marks sanded off, must say that the large mouth intake is much better ( Not Used ) More to follow Dan Edited August 18, 2008 by Dads203

hatchet
Dan, be careful with the extended intake nav-lights, the ones on the Greek Vipers are not the same as the Israeli and Belgian ones! This is the best picture I've got of them and this one on F-16.net might help a bit too, but basically they're somewhat shorter and the leading edge is straight, or nearly so. Dads203
Cheers Hatchet, I'm using the CMK Block 52 European conversin set as its far better than the resin in the Hasegawa kit, I'll have to do some more research into the nav lights. I thought CMK would of got this small detail correct. They have probably just used some existing parts for other conversions I guess? ( Edit) Just checked the Hasegawa resin parts " Doh " they are correct !! You live n learn, sometimes they do get it right!! That's surprising! When they released the Brakeet ( ) kit, you had to scratchbuild them yourself
Dads203
Quick update, just hacked the CMK parabrake housing off as it was lacking in detail and grafted the kit supplied housing, a touch of fetteling and its almost done. The kit part is much better than the CMK housing and adds some depth around the parachute. Sorry for pix its getting dark here !! Dan
