AnonymousAA72
Getting there!!! Just a few photo's to prove that!! Its been along, long haul!! (1) Shortened the undercarriage actuators - see post above - just by a bit - still not sure if they're the right length, but I'm going to go with it now. I need to do a bit of detailled painting in the bays and add a decal or two. Not too sure of the inner colour of the air-brakes - always assumed they were zinc chromate primer, but seen on the grey Jag's they were ...grey! (2) A quick glimpse in the cockpit (3) The underwing stores! I may add a couple of practise 1000lbers on the outer pylons....the two white blobs are the beginnings of some intake FOD covers/blanks (4) I scratch-built the crew access ladder - I managed to screw up one of the photo-etched Paragon ones! (5) Andy's IFR probe nozzle and pitot tube - they don't half make the difference!! Thanks Andy!!! I've yet to add the IFR probes door. (6) A 3/4 view (7) and another...... ghaynes
Right...confusion has set in! This post started off in the "In Progress" section, but was moved here back in 2008!!! The model was very much on theback burner for a whole year, but recently I decided that I should really get "her" and the T2 ZB615 finished. So, started to post some pic's again in the In Progress section, but will finish her off here...... Selection of decals used... Hi Bill, Can you let me know who produced the sheet with the 6 Sqn Anniversary jet on it? I need the RWR markings for my build here as the ones on the Model Alliance sheet I have are the wrong shade of blue! The Flying Canopeners inscription on the MA sheet doesn't look as accurate as the one on your decal sheet either! Kind regards. Graham

Graham Hi Graham, 6 Sqn markings are from an Xtradecal sheet - not sure if its still available, but if you can't get hold of a sheet I may have some spares......... Question is! Where will you get 1:1 scale decals from?
ghaynes
Thanks Bill. Managed to locate and order a sheet from the Aeroclub website. I suspect the 1:1 decals will be a bit more expensive! Still unsure as to whether to make up stencils and spray on the markings on XX741 or get some decals made up. The original markings were a mix of both! I'm a long way from that stage though!!!
