DanM
Hi, Revell m24 Chaffee i am building at the moment. Instructions however do not tell me what colour to paint the Tracks, wheels, or the Diarama base. All help would be appreciated with this! also in the instructions itsays i need revell colour 91, so i bought it and now i see it doesn't tell you where to use that either, its a metalic steel colour that looks same as metalic humbrol 11. daz greenwood
Hi Dan. For the tracks I use Humbrol 53 Gunmetal with a touch of Humbrol 113 Rust. And for the base I would use suitable earth colour such as Humbrol 29 Dark Earth. And the wheels would be the same colour as the reast of the tank such as Tamiya XF-62 Olive Drab, which I would lighten with XF-59 Dark Yellow to give it that faded effect. HTH. DanM
Cheers, I have the New 1/76 revell tank too, The PzKpfw II Ausf.F. I dont know anything about tanks, but i think its a panzer. But anyway i looked at instructions for that and it tells you what colour to paint the base on that one, so i will just use some of the same colours from that, for my Chaffee. Also any pics would be Great!
