KiwiSteve
Great work so far Dave I've found some links to NZLAV don't know if you've seen them yet, sorry about the size of some of the pics the NZDF image data base is http://www.army.mil.nz/downloads/stills/aw-06-0804-5.jpg http://www.army.mil.nz/nr/rdonlyres/116f41.../wn06031243.jpg This link seems to have the best reference pics http://www.primeportal.net/apc/jeremy_wee/nzlav/
Dave
Thanks for that Steve. I do like the second one especially, I've been giving some thought to the weathering of it and there's some good pointers in that one. I must apologize for not posting any new updates, I've managed to get myself sidetracked after fiddling about with it's little brother (er...that came out all wrong!), the ASLAV. So, back to it tomor...uh...later today.
Dave
The updates have slowed a little since the children started their summer holidays. I've managed to do a small amount of work, mainly parts required from the Stryker kit for detailing the upper hull. Hopefully work on the photo etch parts will begin soon. Derwentsider
Like it Dave. The resin wheels look nice.(Go on,you know you want to).The way you have combined the kit & resin bits is flawless. I can tell this is going to be a stunner. The photo-etch will be the icing on the cake

Stebos
Looking more like a plastic conversion set for a resin kit there =) I await the evil that is PE
Dave
The wait is over Stebos Not too much to report, I can't over do it or it's off to the whacky shack for a short stay. Actually I don't mind working with p.e. so much these days, as long as I'm armed with these: The thing that does cause me to pull my hair out is the painting stage , so many of my builds have been held up because of that. This one should be simpler , an undercoat of Tamiya NATO Black finished off with an all over coat of Tamiya NATO Green. If I'm feeling adventurous, I might even stick some more p.e. on later. Antoine
Héhé, glad I'm not the only one here suffering from PE effects. But you're a cheater, you're only glueing the bigger PE parts!
Dave
I know Antoine, but if I glued the little pe bits to the bigger pe bits first I could see it all ending up in the bin. This way I've a sense of "...so far so good"
T-Tango
Coming on good mate, keep the PE going.
Dave
Thought that I'd tackle a bit more p.e. today. One of the sub assemblies is a small stowage box found on the hull side: These are the parts involved: Oh crap! Just to give an idea as to how small these bloody parts are: Pretty much finished, just needs some more glue and a handle added: Edited August 3, 2008 by Dave
