AnonymousAA72
The story is probably more interesting than the finished model (he added modestly!!). I started to build this particular model in 2002 for the Harrier SIG's SWM2002 display "Falklands 20th anniversary!". Needless to say it never made it! So it remained, built but in undercoat until a year or so ago when I removed the chin transponder and sprayed it white - in preparation for its "Winter 86-ish" deployment to Bardufoss - but I never finished that either..so two weeks ago - when I started my GR1 - I decided to take the whatname by the thingeys and get her finished for my Model club's Theme night - Falklands 25. So the tranponder was re-applied, Blue Eric added and somewhat controversially(Dave?) WHITE RN Mk 7 Rocket pods!!!......... Still a few additions required, but I had to take her to the club last night as she was.... Paints from Xtracrylic - (available at any good model shop!! ) Decals from Aztec(?), Seat is from Paragon..... So here we have XW919 Red "03" ..... jenshb
Having tried to build an Airfix Sea Harrier myself, I can appreciate the amount of work needed to produce a model to this standard. Jens
Skii
Great job Bill, the addition of the sealant on the wings is a really nice touch and really makes her stand out as a Falklands bird. Excellent work matey
