AnonymousAA72
So happy she will be flying at Waddington, thought I would miss my chance at seeing her.Seeing a vulcan fly is worth the entrance fee alone as far as I'm concerned! Blimey Joe - welcome back!!!!
geedubelyer
Great shots and a lovely vid too. I'm happy to say that I've just watched her a few minutes ago from my front garden and it gave me goosebumps to see her back in the air. It made my day!! Watching her follow the "City of Lincoln/Phantom of the Ruhr" Lanc in was an awesome sight, the sort of memory I hope to keep forever. Even the weather seemed to know what a special event this was as the clouds parted to afford all those watching a glorious view of a real beauty. Long may she fly. Mandrake
Just got back from the show, it poured down for 2 hours and I spent another 2 hours sitting in traffic on my way out of the base........but for those 20 minutes of seeing a Vulcan fly it was all worth it. It was a sight I unfortunately never got a chance to see when I was younger and a sight I quite honestly I never thought I would see, even up to very recently. Seeing that beautiful and amazingly gracefully camo delta sail through a blue sky against the brilliant white clouds was perhaps one of the most awe inspiring sights of aviation I have ever witnessed. and the best bit..........see the video below: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=u4b7QxEBpkE (Please note this is not my own video) For the flying displays I don't use a digital camera, but will try and post a few when I get them developed on monday, no doubt there will be plenty already on here by then though! Stebos
I'm just picking out my best Vulcan shots of the day. Definitely worth the prior soaking. I never really considered the Vulcan much of a looker, but seeing that sheer physical presence soaring about the sky completely changed my opinon! Photos just cannot do it justice. rdxtnt
Here's a couple to keep you going. Will load the rest later if they turn out ok. Brilliant day out. It looked like it was going to be pants during the morning but thankfully the sun came out after lunch. Sat at home now with a big red head! rdxtnt
Had forgotten how noisy they were. Brought back memories of seeing three of them do a "survival scramble" at a Finningley airshow during the '70's. Those were the days!

Nev
So happy you guys got to see her - I was between Lincoln and Doncaster on Saturday and the weather was truly atrocious for a couple of hours, but as my dad likes to say when he gets lucky with the weather "the sun shines on the righteous" Can't wait for RIAT

Mandrake
Finally got my photos developed so here are a selected few of the Vulcan. Apoligies for the quality, the camera I use for the flying displays is literally as old as me and has made an appearance at every airshow I have ever been to, but as you can see it's starting to show its age, perhaps I can justify an SLR in 2009?
