Graham T
Never tried it myself but I understand that tissue paper, formed to rough shape them "painted" with dilluted PVA (white glue) & then painted the required colour when dry works a treat. Bobs_Buckles
Milliput rolled into thin sheets and then folded. Bingo!
daz greenwood
Or you could use Magic Sculpt as Spence did on his German Truck Andy.

Hi Andy, Have a look at my post in 'tools & tips' canopy covers etc. You can make tarps in the same way. Regards, Glenn
Guest snipersmudge
Andy there is as mentioned several methods for tarp making. the tissue method involves using tissue paper, the finer the better and how i do it is to cut the tissue to the size required then dab on some diluted pva or white glue. then you can position the tarp and add folds etc. Using milliput or any other putty etc is also easy. just roll out the putty to the thickness required, cut and position on the model the add folds etc, it helps if you roll the putty on a surface dusted with talc then it won't stick. another method is to use lead foil, this can be placed on the vehicle, shaped then removed for painting and can be added later fixed with super glue or epoxy. hope that helps Pete
