smuts
Hi, looking at a few Tristar kits, & was wondering how good they are in comparison to Dragons new kits. Andy
Antoine
Very good in general. Check PMMS. But you have to be very careful building them, as the plastic is not that hard, and easily damaged.
Simon Williams
I built their Panzer IV ausf.D kit a while back. The upper hull fits a lot better than the Dragon E I made 3 years ago. Just read the instructions very carefully when building the suspension units, and make sure you have the right hubs on the wheels The separate wingnuts on the little sprues are a good idea, just make sure you have a nice sharp knife. Mine came out all right anyway...
desmojen
My Panzer 38 is Tristar. It seemed a little overcomplicated at first glance (the entire body of the vehicle is made up of separate pieces ) but it all fitted together perfectly and certainly looked the part done. On balance maybe slightly less fiddly than Dragon, includes etch and mine also had working suspension. I'd say they're on a par with Dragon if not actually better. Jen. Antoine
Jen, I don't remember seeing your Pz 38(t) on the forum, and found nothing after browsing through your topics. Any possibility to see it?
