painting tyres ?

hi guys has anyone used a permanent marker pen for the rubber tyres, rather then paint this is still my pet hate with armour.

Thought Dragon were going to lead the way with the brilliant Mk IV with its separate tyres/hubs.....Oh well we can hope, any advice on painting tyres

got two in the stash that there's no masks made for & my Olfa compass cutters smallest dia is to big
