Sea King HAR.3 - part two

Recommended Posts

Way behind schedule with this one - got to finish it this week.

The interior stuff is now done - fuselage construction this morning and then onto exterior detail and paint - followed by decals.

Fuselage halfs - Interior colour is done. I've also installed and masked the windows. Used Parafilm M for masking, by far my favourite method! I've also blocked off the exhaust ports with some plasticard - the Flightpath PE comes with some FOD covers for the ports, so I saw no reason in spending time sorting out the exhaust seams, or even installing the exhaust parts.

Interior - not strictly accurate, but it looks okay for the display I'll be using. The kit will be displayed in a perspex case with an MDF base and pine edging. This will limit the amount that can be see inside the aircraft. I'll simulate a tarmac pan for the base.

More to come over the next few days...

Any questions you want to ask, feel free to post them here or PM me - I'll answer as quick as I can.

A good start Kevin :thumbsup2: I wouldn't mind doing one of these myself one day using the Flightpath set. Which kit are you using?

Gary :)

Thanks Gary - I'm using the Hasegawa SH-3H kit as the base - the first post shows the boxart - see here >> See First Post of this WIP

Nice work Kevin, what colour scheme do you have in mind?

It's the RAF Rescue conversion I'm using so this is gonna be a good old canary - Golden Yellow airframe - all over! What could be simpler? (Knowing immediately that he will regret THAT burst of over-confidence! LOL!). Use the link above to see the first part of the WIP post and you'll see a pic on the conversion box and the profile on the decal sheet.

Cheers
