The Marines used a lot of M4A2s, which was the Sherman Mk.III and used by British/Commonwealth/Allied forces in Italy, but the variants most common in Normandy were the M4/Sherman Mk.1 and M4A4 Sherman Mk.V. If it was an M4, then it probably was to a later standard in Normandy: look at the transmission cover, any additional armour patches, the gun mantlet..... Why not just buy the Dragon or Trumpeter kits that actually come as Normandy variants? Best of all, a Firefly? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The M4A2 was the Sherman III in British service so you would be able to model one from D-Day and the later Normandy Campaign.
