The Jag still serves

Yesterday I had the good fortune to visit the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering at RAF Cranwell. As you can see from the accompanying pics, the Jaguar may not be flying, but it is still doing it's bit. They are taxied by the NCO instructing staff as part of the course. All are flight capable, apart from having the reheat inhibited.

 Hi Tom, sorry to nit-pick, but isn't DCAE at Cosford. Will be going up there next month to a RAF National Service reunion.

Robin.

DCAE is headquartered at Cosford, but the college is at Cranwell.

As Tom says, the HQ of DCAE is at Cosford, with satellite sites at the RAF College (Cranwell), St Athan (where it will eventually move IIRC), Arborfield (Army) and Gosport (RN).
