Wasp flight

I was lucky enough to get a trip round Yeovilton last saturday in a Wasp. I was helping out with a reunion of ex-Wasp crew. Flight was cutisy of John Beatie, who laid on a suberb afternoon........

Why does it always rain when they put on these doos. I helped out when they had a Tiger Moth day and it threw it down then.

806 came into work today. Would you believe it was so that some guys could look at the tail rotor pitch control rods. Apparently the technology is being revisited!

As an ex Merlin man myself, that thing looks like a model T ford in comparison....... Lovely little helicopter's the Wasp.

If thats the Merlins pitch link bearings that are made from Italian cheese...you can blame me for finding that one....along with the cracking cockpit consol brackets... :evil_laugh:
