Not an aircraft book but a great book of war in the modern era, Sgt Dan Mills the author has some nice things to say about USAF Spectre Support.

Well worth a read.

I've just finished reading this book. And I do highly recommend it.

I especially like the part when they are joined by an RM sniper team and expend all the armour piercing rounds for the .50 cal Barrett rifle.

I got this as a crimbo wrap up, but haven't even looked at it yet - a book without either pics or dots to join up will take some time to get to. Glad it's a good read though.

"Worth a read" would be an understatement. Powerful, funny and fast paced it definately is. I finished it in 2 days, just couldn't put it down! If you enjoyed that 3 Para is worth a look too, very similar, but written by a third party. don't let that put you of though, the two give you a great insight into the nature of modern war.
