Rich F
Bill, I love the low visibility Lightnings, made them look mean The head-on Pic, looks like it would growl at you if you came close! Can't wait for all the 1/72 Lightning's to appear, make it be soon, please
Ian
Hi Bill Great build/paint. Really like that scheme, cannot recall seeing it done on a 1:48 Frightning before. I think the word I'm scratching for is 'Handsome'. Ian
AnonymousAA72
Thanks to y'all for your kind words...... I fell in love with this scheme many years ago, when I first saw photo's of it in Warplane (I think!) all of 23 years ago!!! It appeared in 1/72nd decal form from Xtradecals in the late 80's , but I cross-kitted an Airfix F1a/Matchbox F2a (or maybe even a Hasegawa F6) and used the Blue Binbrook Lion from a Modeldecal sheet and applied it on a white disc. My favourite Lightning scheme? All of 'em!!!! I['ll have the chance to build a hanger load in 1/72nd scale later this year.... AND one or two BIGGIES!!!!
