It's my first GB, My first 1:24 and my first 'real' diorama. When I started this project I decided to find out a bit more about the car I was building. I was pleasantly surprised to find out she was the 'mount' of Richard Burns and Robert Reid at the Argentinian Rally, part of the 2001 World Rally Championship. At this Rally Burns and Reid came second and started their climb up the driver championship so that later in the year Richard Burns was to become the first Englishman to win a World Rally Championship outright. Sadly on Friday 25th November 2005 Richard Burns died aged 34 after being in a coma resulting from a brain tumour. His death was overshadowed my the death on the same day of the footballer George Best. Thus there was not much coverage of Richard's passing and successes. I would like this build to be my little tribute to a great and forgotten rally driver. But I did have to stop and take a break to summon up the necessary to have a go at finishing it. Thanks to this GB I got going again, and here is the finished article.
