  1. A&A Models is to release a 1/48th Yakovlev Yak-23DC/UTI two seats "Flora" kit - ref. 4802 Source: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1352433841567914&id=1048501705294464 V.P.
  2. I feel I must build this. For some reason it reminds me of a manatee. I will also be building it in flight--for two reasons. The first is to save a little space on the Cold-War WarPac shelf. The second is that the landing gear parts supplied in the box are utter rubbish. However, it does include a very nice clear plastic stand! I'll dig around the spares box and find a pilot willing to fly this MisterCraft kit... I would like it to be the flashy Polish 'Red 01' in 1955 but if the decals fall apart it'll be 'Yellow 52' from the Ukraine '53... My little scheme... Not a very complex looking kit. The antithesis of Eduard. --John
  3. Here's my KP 1:72 Yakovlev Yak-23 "Flora" Yellow 16, of the Polish Air Force, in the early 1950s. This was one of the original boxings of this kit. I built it very much OOB in 2000. Thanks for looking Miguel
  4. MikroMir is to release a 1/48th Yakovlev Yak-23 "Flora" kit - ref. 48-013 Plastic parts will be from the Bilek kit (link) with new decals, masks, p.e. parts, parts of engine and fuel tanks. Source: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1492922914118773&id=1416295571781508 V.P.
  5. Hi, Does someone know who - if anyone - makes a replacement canopy for the Bilek Yak-23? Or if there is someone who has a "dead" model and is willing to part with the canopy... Can't seem to find anything (but did find a cockpit, tanks, even canopy masks...). Thanks ! J.
  6. Howdy Gang, I am working on a Yak-23 from Ardpol. This was an expensive kit. So, I'm piqued about the number of pinholes I'm having to fill on this. I'm very disappointed. Resin kits have gotten very good in the last few years. Ardpol and Karaya are among the best. It is extra-special annoying since this is a bare metal finish. Boo! At least all the holes are on the bottom. The kit was beautiful in the box. Very nice panel lines and delicate rivets (which I usually hate). I bet other copies are just great. This is a rare event. I felt the odds of getting replacement fuse halves shipped all the way to the US was slim. Anyhow, I'm almost done polishing. Did find two more holes... Grrr! Brent
