Long before I was came on and lowered the tone, I think there was a GB for anything that wasn't injection molded plastic. I'm proposing Vol II, maybe the No PIMP GB that's No Injection Molded Plastic. Or to be more positive about it, wood, etch, white metal card, vac-form ... Having just started on a resin car in the 10th Anniversary GB, I've discovered a whole new world, and I was inspired and awed by what @pheonix did with wood and metal in the floatplane GB. Plus all the amazing vac-form work. And I do have to card buildings that I have no reason to build unless a GB comes along. What I'm thinking is.. Any model you like, so wiffy, sci-fi, fantasy even more conventional subjects, no holds barred in any medium you like but the injection molded element can't be more than 25%. I'm putting that in because in the my case, I'd replace the rainwater goods with AM injection molded and to allow for raiding the scrap box for similar fiddly details for others. Then standard GB rules apply and fun to be had along with new experiences; after all why should New Media always mean Twitter etc? Any takers/ thoughts etc? I saw it advertised on EvilBay, and couldn't resist it. I managed to smuggle it into the house, but haven't opened the sealed bag yet (still time to escape), but I've bought an example of the Archer Nova C-141A Starlifter vac-form in 1/72! (Told you I was losing it). Now a very important question I should have asked earlier, has anyone made one of these, and if so, what was it like? I can't find any build reviews on the web, so any help is welcome. Cheers from the madhouse

Anyone here who participated in the anything but injection moulded GB earlier int he year might remember my build there. The IA-58 where th pain crazed on the wing when I started applying the camouflage. Anyway, to see if I could get one more build finished befor the new year, I decided to kick-start one of my (many) stalled builds. I picked this one because I thought it would be a piece of cake. (you don't really believe that crap do you) Actually, because I just wanted to see if I could finish it, being my first vac and all. Here's the old thread, there a lot of it so I won't re-post it. If you're interested, have a look. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234980973-rare-plane-ia-58/#entry1971417 This build has had a lot of scratch work thrown at it, so it'll be nice to get it finished (hopefully) These are the last photos befor the restart, and they don't include the issue that cause the stalling, the crazing paint. Anyway, wish me luck, I've already started to scrape the old paint I'll the wing, I'm trying to save the light brown though as I've since run out of the colour. Cheers, K
