Thanks to a reminder from @JOCKNEY I have started my (first ever?) Heller kit. I think I bought this at a BDAC show a couple of years ago; it was a bargain anyway. It’s the early 109, I’ll do it in the box art scheme. I’ve prepared the parts and done some priming, I’ll post a few pics before long. Cheers Will

ICM I-16 Type 10 Spanish Republic Air Force - ICM 1:32 (D3202)
Julien posted a topic in Decals & Masks
I-16 Type 10 Spanish Republic Air Force ICM 1:32 (D3202) ICM have been doing many versions of the I-16 in 1.32 scale now they are bringing us a decal sheet for those used by The Republican side in the Spanish Civil War. The sheet provides markings for 8 aircraft used in 1938 & 1939. Conclusion This is a great addition from ICM to an already great kit. Highly recommended. Review sample courtesy of -
Spain in Arms - A military history of the Spanish Civil War 1936-39 ISBN : 9781612006376 Casemate UK The Spanish Civil war was fought between 1936 and 1939. This was fought between the Republican side loyal to the Second Spanish Republic, and the Nationalists. Even though the war ended in 1939 it left a legacy in Spain which is felt even to this day. Much has been written about the war however this book looks at it from eight major conflicts. The author has obtained and studied texts from German, Italian and Russian sources, as well as previously secret Brit

Chaps, Excellent photography database, with a focus on Spanish subjects. As an example, beautifully weathered F-18s ! http://www.aviationcorner.net http://www.aviationcorner.net/show_photo_en.asp?id=422174 http://www.aviationcorner.net/show_photo_en.asp?id=227515 http://www.aviationcorner.net/show_photo_en.asp?id=464798 http://www.aviationcorner.net/show_photo_en.asp?id=464289 Cheers,

This is the 1/72 Azur short run release of the Cierva C.30 Autogiro. A curious looking aircraft which is unlikely to have seen use during the war, there were a few in the Spanish Air force before the war broke out but their fate is unknown. The kit is what you would expect from Azur and didn’t cause any problems, it is best to take your time around the under carriage at the front as its very delicate, I also had a slight issue with the rotor blades as the resin part in the middle was damaged, I replaced those parts with stiff wire. I finished the model in Mr Metal

Kit - Hobbyboss 1:35 Paint - All Tamiya acrylics. Decals - Revell Extras - None. Just a hair over three weeks start-to-finish, a cheap and excellent cure for loss of 'modelling mojo' also know as AMS - Advanced Modellers Syndrome. Yes the details are soft, the wheels are at best 'round' and the one-piece tracks are a little toy-like, but it went together quickly with the minimum of fuss and I really wanted my own Leopard tank in the cabinet. Thouroughly enjoyed every minute of it, and in the end, is that not the point of this hobby ?? - As ever thanks for taking the time to look

Dear Readers, In preparation for my Cold War ASW 212 build, I have been looking for the inside cabine pictures/drawings of this helicopter. Especially the seating and equipment arrangement that would have been installed on anti-submarine missions Have found absolutely nothing. Is there anybody around who has some detailed information regarding this "Secret" anti-submarine helicopter from the Peruvian/Italian/Greece/Turkey's Navy. Any info is welcomed. Highest Regards, Dirk
