  1. Hi All, second completion since rejoining during lock down. Now working on Arma Hobby 172 Hurricane Mk1 and that will complete my BoB set. Some decal and paint finish issues, but learning all the time, Seat belts Tamiya tape and off cut PE, rough but better than decal, canopy opened with Razor saw. Stash now includes 1/72 Hunter F6 to be built as FR10, Vacform T38 grasshopper (waiting a while on that one!) and an Eduard 1/48 late model spit. Also have a hankering for a F104......
  2. This is my build of fujimi's 2006 ferrari f1 car, I didn't like the way they wanted you to put it together so I cut it up and changed a lot, here's the build thread to see what I mean: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234988701-ferrari-248f1-120/ And here is the finished product Be warned very picture heavy This is roughly how it's going to look in my cabinet Front wing was a pain but only for the way I did it All the wheels were given a coat of thinned down flat black mixed with tamiya rubber for a dirty look The engine cover Rear wheel cover brought on to the car for the Turkish gp of 06 and then copied by just about every team by 2007 As you can see the covers do need a bit of weathering before completely being called done This picture is ment to emphasise the "cake tins" brake covers And without them to show the disc derails The barge boards which are missing the barcode on them but I wasn't going to pay for the whole set of decals again for 2 very small decals The cockpit area I'm really happy with, the seat has texture and the wheel is carbon A view of the components that are under the skin Both the air box and camera pod have had the carbon treatment as you can see as well the aftermarket decal for the engine cover barcode wasn't the right size so this bit will be painted over later The etch radiator faces with all the cooling hoses in place The rear end Dirtied wing endplate Got the wheels on to show with all the hub enhancements they still fit Removable nose cone on The view that really only Fernando alonso saw through 2006 The little side pod flicks that came on the car in Chinese gp And just to show that it does all kind of go together, note that the engine cover only looks pink due to it being at a slightly different angle to the rest And last it's side profile of one of the last ferraris to have been genuinely as fast as the championship winning car Thanks for looking Shaun
  3. I have been working on this car for what feels like forever now and it is now finally finished I made the a few changes from the base kit like: cutting the front end off and having the front area detailed with the brake cooling ducts, carbon fibre decal has been used through out the car, solder wire has been used to add the absent piping from the engine bay, I have added the walls ahead of the rear wheels and added the cooling ducts that go through them also, Due to a clumsy missus who stepped on the air stacks I had to make adjustments to the air intake area Paint is all tamiya spray or cheap shop brand for less important parts So without waffling anymore here it is And opened up Thanks for looking and feel free to leave good or bad comments Shaun
