Finished this kit yesterday. The model came with bonus resin tyres from Hasegawa, which also came with the regular plastic ones. I used Revell Aqua colours and several brushes to complete this aircraft. The original kit decals were completely unsuable, cracked beyond redemption. Luckily I was able to count from my spares box to complete this paint job.

Another day, another Luftwaffe build from me. This time it's the Hasegawa Bf 109F-4/Trop in 1:48 with markings for Marseille's last Bf 109F before moving to the ill-fated G-2/Trop. The kit decals are cracked and are beyond saving, so I'll use a mix from Xtradecals, Academy and Hobby Boss ones. Boxart: This is a special edition with resin wheels. Regular ones are also included. Original decals: Before starting the assembly I decided to paint the small parts on the sprues.

Found this movie on YT while I was searching for clips of Marseille's aircraft, I thought you too might be interested. The aircraft used are the Spanish Ha 1112.

This is the Academy rebox of the Hobbycraft Bf 109G-6, advertised in this boxing as a G-6/G-2 version (Bf 109G-6/G-2 "JG27"). It wasn´t that simple though, because I realised half of the build that the G-2 had an opening for a retractable tailwheel, whereas the G-6 didn´t. I ruined the propeller spinning system, so I had to fix the propeller in place. The kit was brush painted with Revell acrylics. The model represents Marseille´s last aircraft before his death on September 30th 1942.

Well I'm in with this one, it's actually just a Revell rebox on a ICM kit which I didn't realise at the time I bought it. Really not a fan of their flimsy plastic but we'll see how I get on. Work has started with the engine built and basic cockpit painted, ready for detailing. I'll post my progress in the week but here's the box art which I think is rather good! Thanks for looking guys.
