  1. Hi Ladies & Gents,I have entered a buddy build on Facebook that has been organised by a chap called Martin Lamont, it is called the "Hawker Harrier 50th Anniversary Buddy Build".Now I want to build a variant of all the types of Harrier flown by the RAF and RN, i would like to build these in the order that they entered service. So after building the Harrier GR.1 that can be found on here, I decided to enter the 1/72 Airfix Harrier GR.3 into the buddy build. Here are the traditional box, instructions and sprue photos:Sprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSprue shots and instructions. by Neal, on FlickrSo that is the introduction to the build, I will post up the same updates here as I am doing on the buddy build. And to start that off I did a bit of video for you. Thanks for looking and all feedback is welcome!
  2. Hello everyone,I have just started another kit for another group build on Facebook, this time the build is called #twinbrit and it is run by Tim Hedworth over at British Aviation in Scale, the group build runs until the 17th of March. So enough time for me to shoe one in before staring on my French Fancies entry! The rules of the GB are simple it is anything british made or in british service that has two of something for example a Mosquito being twin engined, a Bae Hawk being a twin seater, etc..I decided to go for Tamiya's rebox of Italeri's Tornado F3. I know it is older kit and has an issue or two but as far as I am aware it is proably the better ADV in 1/72 scale. Here are the customary box, instructions and sprue photos:The box showing a completed model:Box, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrInstructions seem simple with only 7 steps, but are in Japenese:Box, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBox, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBox, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBox, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBox, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBox, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrKit decals look ok:Box, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBut I think I'll be using these from xtradecal instead:Box, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrSprues, there are only two main sprues and one clear, should be a relatively quick build fingers crossed!Box, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBox, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrBox, instructions & sprues. by Neal, on FlickrSo there is the usual introduction to any of my builds, I'll be doing some videos of the build too. Thanks for having a look.Take care.Neal

  4. Hi guys,So I have entered a GB ran on Facebook by British Aviation In Scale, the GB is called Brit 72, really simple anything that is either British in origin or that has worn British markings.I have decided to build a Harrier as it is quintessentially British and it will start of my little collection of a model of every mark of Harrier that has flown in British service.I though that you guys may be interested to see how I get on with it.So as always here is the tradition tour of the box and its contents.Nice box art with both kits contained in the box:20170923-27.jpg by Neal, on FlickrOlder style Airfix instructions, total of 45 steps to the build:20170924-28.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-29.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-30.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-31.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-32.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-33.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-34.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-35.jpg by Neal, on FlickrThe kits give you a lovely camouflage scheme of DG/DSG over LAG, very classy looking in my opinion. Would love to see a Typhoon in this scheme!20170924-36.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-37.jpg by Neal, on FlickrThe sprue with Airfix's softer plastic, makes it easy to work with but marks easily in my experience:20170924-38.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-39.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-40.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-41.jpg by Neal, on Flickr20170924-42.jpg by Neal, on FlickrSo that is the owners tour over and done with!I've already got a bit done on this one and I'll get that posted up here tomorrow hopefully.Neal

  6. Howdy Gang! We have a question about Rudy Stark's D.VII. What decal to use on the front cylinder? 73 or 74? We are also interested in knowing if Rudy's engine had the generator. Follow the group build on the Face Book. Search for Fokker Village. That's us!
