  2. Hi folk's,last in the trio of Hobbyboss easykit's for the From Russia with love GB,for it's type a great easy build much more refined than some in the range lovely panel lines and a canopy worthy of mention. In one of the schemes of Ivan.F.Pavlov hero of the Soviet union,I have not added the wire due to poor light and several pint's of Guiness last night and apologies for photo quality still using my phone.Thank's for looking in.
  3. Easykit Tornado IDS & Eurofighter Typhoon 1:100 Revell Well, not quite what I've been used to reviewing, but probably the most important.....well according to my 7 year old son anyway, he's insisted that I get these reviews done so he can have them! Joking aside, I really like these as they are a great introduction to modelling. The kits are snap together with a very basic parts count and as can be seen, pre-painted. There's a set of instructions so the kits get budding modellers familiar with the process of assembly without needing to touch glue or paint. Detail is fairly basic, but that's not the point. There's enough to make them interesting to young eyes and of course, fly them all round the house and inspire the imagination. If you're reading this, then you understand because you did it once yourself !!! Tornado IDS As Revell is a German company, we can forgive them for not doing the British Livery. The scheme is the 2006 NATO Tigermeet scheme of the Tactical Reconnaissance Wing 51 "Immelmann" operating from Schleswig/Jagel Air Base. Loadout appears to be HARM missiles with the wing tanks. The only problem we came across was the need to sand one of the main wheel lugs to get it to snap into the fuselage. Eurofighter Typhoon This is a somewhat stranger aircraft in that it appears to be a single seat design but with two crew squeezed in. Hey I'm not sure the target market really care, they're a much easier bunch to satisfy than us old uns !! Loadout appears to be fuel tanks and AIM-120, although the panel lines on the fuel tanks are a little deep for my liking Conclusion Well, the best person to answer this is my son. He loves them. He enjoys building things then being able to play with them afterwards in spirited dogfights and that's the point here. Of course it doesn't teach painting and gluing skills, but it does get them interested in the fun of assembling a kit. Revell model kits are available from all good toy and model retailers.
