Placeholder. My second build for the Recce GB will be a Gloster Meteor FR.9, finished in the markings of 79 Sqn while based at Gütersloh in Germany, 1953. The kit I'll be using is the Airfix 1/72 scale Gloster Meteor in its Club Edition FR.9 version. I'm planning to finish the model in the short-lived High-Altitude Short-Range Fighter scheme worn by some FR.9s, which consists of Light Slate Grey/Medium Sea Grey over PRU Blue, with a Pattern 2 High Demarcation. For this build, I've got the Euro Decals set from Fantasy Print Shop, although I'm aware that there are some minor errors with the details of this scheme on the decal instruction sheet. Thanks to @AliGauld and @bigbadbadge for pointing me toward this kit; Alistair's build is excellent of course and shows how its done. Thanks for looking in, Mark

I, like many others, got the 1:48 Airfix Club Messerschmitt Bf109 this year. It's not 'my' scale or era, but the bits are bigger than what I'm used to and I may consider swapping to this scale when age takes its toll on my eyes. However, I fancy doing something with the kit seeing as it was free, but I'd rather do a genuine Luftwaffe scheme than the kit RAF or Japanese schemes. Anybody got any ideas what I could choose (along with decal options - Hannants?). I think it's an E3/7 model. I'd like to do something around the British Invasion / Battle of Britain timescale. We're these around then? Thanks in advance.
