I have a bundle of Seafires in the stash and I thought a good addition to this GB would be a pair of the FAA's first high speed interceptors, a pair of Seafire MkIb's. Although different boxings these are the same kit. And although they say Admiral, the bags containing the kit inside the box says AZ Models. I've already built one earlier this year in the Spitfire GB, finished as this unusual blue version. This pair will be more conventional. Each boxing gives two different options but in one of the boxings the two options are for 2nd line squadrons. I'll

Dear All, Have just come across a Seafire 1b 72nd scale kit for sale and it's made by a company I've never had any experience of called Admiral so just wondered if anyone can shed any light on it or the general quality of their offerings. I'm interested in it but not if it's of poor quality. Regards Colin.

Hi All, With this post I'm finishing the series of trainer aircraft I have recently completed. This is the model of an aircraft that remains pretty obscure type, although it was the most numerous trainer aircraft of the USAAF during the WWII. This is a model of a Valiant, but not of the Valiant the British modelling community expects to see So here you go - Vultee "the Vibrator" Valiant BT-13: The 1/72 kit is produced under Admiral label by AZ Models of Czech Republic. Construction was fully out of the box except for aerial wiring

I've finally got almost everything cleared off my workspace and am ready to join in the GB in an attempt to reduce my stash of 30 Seafires and Spitfires. The first to come to the top of the pile is this Admiral boxing of a MkIb with a Vokes filter. I've made an Admiral late Mark Seafire before and it wasn't too bad, but like all Seafires/Spitfires you do have to be careful with the wing/fuselage joint. There are two offerings in the box, a standard aircraft of 885 NAS from HMS Formidable and a one off royal blue scheme. I rather fancy the latter as the standard scheme

Hello, As the title suggests, I am looking to see if any manufacturer makes a mask set for the AZ wildcat series. I have the F4F-3 and the FM-2 Wildcats and if no mask set has been made are there alternatives that would be very close? Thank you, Jeffers.

While waiting for the parts for my Vampire build to arrive I have started this kit. The Hannants web site states this is NOT Valom. Valom kits must be scary. I like Devastators. Some pics. I have made a start on the interior and have finished the torpedo. I will post some pictures tomorrow. Thanks for looking. Stephen

Starting this kit is an attempt at regaining my interest in modeling. Lost interest due to the mad cow attack and my father having a heart attack. His time is up, he is 82 smoked for 70 years, but has excellent lungs. According to Admiral's instructions you can build an F4F-3, F4F-3A, F4F-3P and a Martlett Mk III and I think if you don't cut the fuselage you can build a Martlett Mk I. This is the first step - cut the fuselage. I am not so sure of the second cut though. I am wondering if these instructions a for their FM2. Thanks for looking. Stephen

Here is my first build for this GB - an Airspeed Oxford. I'm not sure whether the kit is by AZ Models or Admiral. The box has both logos so I assume the two companies are different arms of the same concern. This is the box top. And these are the two main sprues. Also in this kit is a transparent sprue and a selection of resin details. It looks to be a lovely little kit. The injection moulded parts have nice detail, although there is a very small amount of flash in some places. However, that is entirely consistent with the short-run nature of the kit. I will be building
