I thought I'd have a go at a bit of wargaming, but not sure about a big game with complex rules that takes hours to play. So I got a copy of Gale Force Nine's 'Tanks!' which is played on a three foot square board and apparently only takes 30 minutes or so. And I've been building some scenery, building some stash, and (finally) built my first 15mm scale tank. This one is by Zvezda, rather than Gale Force Nine. I've done my best (I'm out of practice) but kept it OOB as it'll be handled in gaming. The buildings are scratch, might post them in the scenery section. Thanks for looking.

I've got a fair bit of aftermarket stuff in the post for my main build so I need something to tinker with while I'm waiting for that, and also something to slap paint on and keep the mojo running in between sessions on my main build (which will be slow out of necessity - I start a new job on day three of the GB and there's a house move pending too. Talk about making it easy for myself), so the two Zvezda 1/100 'baby' Tigers that I initially discounted will make this GB after all. Here are the boxes. Two different Tiger based tank destroyers so I'm definitely ringing the changes through the GB: The Jagdtiger consists of an impressive 23 parts with some nice detail: Whilst the Ferdinand harks back to a simpler time, making do with just 10: I feel much better now I'm totally over committed. Going to jump in with this one as a mojo restorer before I get serious. Built half a dozen of these kits for the GPW GB last summer and they're great fun. Will either be a dirty winter camo version from the Winter War with Finland, or a two tone version from the Leningrad front in Summer 1942. Box top, showing the Leningrad scheme And the sprue (yes, just the one). The missing bit at the top just has more wheels. They're the same as the ones you can see. And this is the page with the Winter War scheme (fourth one down) http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/ww2/soviet/soviet_BA-10.php Andy

Inspired by a grown up build in the GPW group build, I'm going to attempt the Zvezda M4A2 Sherman in Soviet markings on Monday. Should be quite a challenge given I'm at a beer festival on Sunday and the Tall Ships festival on Monday afternoon. Andy
