Just now saw the glad tidings that Airfix is releasing a new-tool 1/72 Beaufort! Personally, I have a preference for my favorite version, but I am soooo happy we are getting a new, state of the art kit, that I don't really care which version/s Airfix will release- just give me a decent airframe, and I can do the rest, as I bet many of you can, too. Here's a short video walk around and a still walk around, along with a two-part video on RAAF Beauforts. I hope you will find useful. Let the reference gathering begin! (Anybody want a couple of Airfix and Special Hobby kits?) Mike

Good day gents, I was thinking on getting back to the “dark side” (modelling). So for the first model I’ve picked up Meng F-35A. I would like to build AF-01 the very first one Lightning delivered to unit. However I’m a bit struggling finding the 1:48 decals. Any suggestions? Also maybe anyone of You knows the best way to replicate those rectangular test markings along weapon pylons and fuselage? Or maybe someone of You knows a good walkaround? Any suggestions regarding finishing colours? Any information would be a great he

PB2B-2 Catalina VH-ASA, named Frigate Bird II is suspended from the ceiling of Sydney's excellent Powerhouse Museum. I believe there is a resin conversion set for a PB2B-2 Cat and decals available to model this historic aircraft. Hi Guys, A photo shoot of a rather reclusive and rare Halberstadt D IV reproduction. The D IV variant itself was rare enough; only three were built, so it is a surprise to see a modern reproduction of it. Hi Guys, while I wait for bits of my 747 build to dry, I thought I'd put these out for you to peruse. Many years ago I went to Tokyo and took some rather bad photos of at that time the only surviving Yokosuka D4Y dive bomber. Today there is a second at Chino. For my next trick - the rarely seen, desert exiled brother of Wellington... Anyone know of a Wellesley workaround or source of reference pix. There are plenty of generic exterior shots but not in much detail, nor is there a huge number of interior views. There are a few detailed models out there but I would like to judge a selection from the real deal, especially as I intend to so a LRDA as opposed to a standard mk1. Trust me to choose the difficult version... Actually I looked at the Matchbox decals and had doubts as they've seen better days. If they so end up u/s then the LRDA aircraft
