Hello my furry friends... Tas been a while since glue hit sprue, but I return to you now with my latest project... The magical WNW Pfalz DIIIa.
The journey begins... The Pfalz will mainly be built OOTB apart from Steven Robson's wonder wheels (cheers mate!) my buckles for rigging and a wee bit of wiring here and there. For the most part I want to concentrate on getting the job done without slipping into AMS hell! I need one under the belt after such a long layoff - the D.IIIa fits the bill perfectly for this Cheers, Bob Von Buckle VC & Bar Bar
Work has begun!
Wheel covers hacked out of original part, sanded with a variety of sanding sticks, diamond files and 3M frizzy stuff to leave two perfectly snug rubber (plastic ) tyres. The rubber needs the rubber treatment . They will be brushed with tamiya thin glue, lightly stippled and lightly sanded. PollyS white + the bare minimum of diluted pink will be used for the main colour. Pigments added for dirt and grime. Oh... How good do those wheels look?!!!!! The level of detail must be seen to be believed - I love 'em! Cheers Steven! You Star * Dry fit
Work on the tub begins...
More on the way... My mojo has returned!!
Bye for now
