  1. Well after much toing and froing, what set out to be a simple kit to expand my rigging skills (for a Wingnut Wings aircraft), the end result is here. Rigging has been with the very fine EZline and the aerials to try and get the sag has been with very thin copper wire. Weathering in the main AK Interactive brown streaks but there has also been thin washes of acrylics and water colour pencils. Main painting was hand brush Vellejo. Base tin foil and acrylic paints with a bit of tropical tank filter thrown in for good measure. Yes I've enjoyed it but it took on life of its own because the rigging exercise turned into the model you see.
  2. Well built this for a GB Carriers Ahoy not many floaty things in there more planes than what they fly from 🤷‍♂️ But here it is OOB it was meant as a MO and JO restorer so I can get back to other stalled projects Cheers beefy
  3. OK just making a place marker and a check with the hosts about the 25% started rule as you can see the hull main part and lower deck have been started a while back but still a lot of parts to go to get this 700 scale built in time beefy
  4. Well most people will probably be think where has he been hiding the truth is doing some Group Builds just for a change couple of tanks and this for the Carrier Ahoy GB but it is not getting much interest cos it floats and not flys yes more wingy things than floaty things So thought I would post hear as well to show some progress that's where i,am at now beefy And yes I know i have others to finish of still 🤷‍♂️
  5. History. Laid down in late 1935, the Richelieu-class fast battleships were essentially scaled up versions of the Dunkerque-class and retained the arrangement of the entire main battery placed in the forward position in two quadruple turrets. The ships were designed as a planned class of four in response to the the Italian Littorio-class, were well protected and could make around 30 knots. Richelieu and Jean Bart were completed during WWII and participated under both Vichy and Allied control; Clemenceau was never completed; Gascogne was cancelled before being laid down. The kit. The Model is by Trumpeter and is based on the 1943 configuration. The brass railing is a mixture of White Ensign Models' 1/700 rails and ladders set, plus some leftover parts from some Dragon kits. Although the painting instructions show the wooden deck as being painted dark grey I decided to go with a more natural look. Unfortunately at the time I couldn't find an after-market wooden deck that would have improved the appearance of the model. Thanks for looking; as always any comment or questions are most welcome. Regards, Ross.
