I'm starting to gather some bits together to build my Tamiya 1:48 Lancaster. I'd like to build it as one of the 9 Squadron Tallboy bombers. But I need to source some bulged bay doors. I see that Paragon made a set several years ago, but I can't find any sets available online. So, I have a few questions: 1. Does anyone on this forum have a Paragon set that they'd be willing to sell to me? 2. Is there any set other than the Paragon available on the market? 3. Failing the above, has anyone built such doors from scratch? And if so, could offer some pointers? Best, Paul

Hello all, Haven't started my first entry yet, so here's a second Hasegawa's 1/72 Lancaster B.MK.1 - will be marked as either ED763 or DV385, both of 617 Squadron during Operation Catechism on 12th November 1944- the attack to sink the Tirpitz. Loaded with Tallboy bombs, the mighty ship eventually capsized after a number of direct hits and near misses. Kit: Extras: Not much here, just an Eduard mask and etch set. Instead of a camouflage mask, I'm going to try clever putty for demarcation. Decals and paint scheme: Hadn't planned on a second build, but got this for a good price on you know where so will do my best to get both entries completed. Dave- 94 replies

Matchbox's 1979 Lancaster, No 9 Squadron the Tallboy option. My shot at this old kit, includes newly scribed panel lines, scrap parts from an old Airfix Lancaster and other little scratch bits like fuselage escape hatches. One of the things I like most about Matchbox kits is that they are an excellent blank canvas that allow me the freedom to depart from the instruction sheet and use my imagination. The kit was nice to build but we could still do with a new Tallboy Lancaster if you are reading this Mr Airfix. /I /

Hi everyone, hopefully ready for Hendon show, 1/72 Lancaster Tallboy conversion for new Airfix kit; Bomb is a one piece casting with mould block pre-removed, SABS and chain support masters still to be finished. Thanks for looking! Colin
