  1. hello inspectors! for your sharp eye I do present my T-34-85 with main gun D-5T. It represents a built by factory Nr112 in early spring of 1944. This is, one of the first T34-85 with this type of main gun 85mm, which shortly will be replaced by more recognizable gun ZiS-S-53. Totally with D-5T were produced 255 tanks T-34. The kit by MiniArt is very good and highly recommended for everyone. The inscription on the turret Ufa means name of the city. The only aftermarket used is ammo box (MSD) and towing cable (Eureka). Enjoy it!
  2. Interesting news from Russian internet. Google translate article published 01.04.2019 on Russian: https://bmpd.livejournal.com/3591727.html "According to the factory newspaper "Izvestia Mashinostroiteli" (Machine builders news) (No. 68 for 2019), published by Omsk Transport Engineering Plant JSC (which is part of Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation JSC, as part of Rostec), Uralvagonzavod Corporation "received an order from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation to restore the serial production of historic Soviet T-34-85 tanks. The newspaper’s "Honorable Order"article states that the head office of Uvalvagonzavod NPK in Nizhny Tagil received a contract from the Ministry of Defense to resume the production of T-34-85 tanks for ceremonial and representative tasks designed to activate the military-patriotic education of the younger generation, first of all for fighters "Yunarmii". 30 T-34-85 tanks received from Laos in 2018 were enough for only one battalion of historical tanks as part of the Kantemirovsky tank division. Meanwhile, in the ideas of the Russian Ministry of Defense and the Main Political Department, as the newspaper reports, the creation of a whole regiment of T-34 tanks in the Moscow region, the formation of a battalion of historical tanks in each of the military districts, as well as a company - in each division and in each tank college, and platoon - as part of each brigade. These tanks will form the basis of the parade calculations of these units and formations during the annual Victory Parades on May 9 and various military-patriotic events. Thus, the entire military department expects to receive more than 400 T-34-85 tanks in a few years. The Ministry of Defense expects to allocate more than 10 billion RUR for this. Omsk Transport Engineering Plant JSC (OZTM) will play an important role as a subcontractor in the production of the revived T-34-85 - in particular, it will carry out the casting and supply to Nizhny Tagil of their tank towers. JSC "Plant number 9" in Yekaterinburg has already restored the production of S-53 cannons for these tanks, Chelyabinsk citizens will supply B-55 engines. Work in the corporation on this important order is in full swing. The first new tank should leave the Nizhny Tagil assembly line already on Victory Day on May 9, 2019. Production of the updated T-34-85 will play an important role in maintaining the competence of the tank production corporation NPK Uralvagonzavod on the eve of the upcoming after 2021 start of mass production of new tanks on the platform "Armata", the article said the plant newspaper. In response to the wishes of the Ministry of Defense, Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation is working on the possibility of restoring production and other types of historical combat vehicles - SU-100, SU-76M, T-34-76, IS-2M, IS-3M and even T-35. At the same time, since the latter were previously produced in Kharkov, a number of issues in the area of import substitution will need to be resolved." Any comments? B.R. Serge P.S. Will open the production line for the production of Sherman, Tiger, Valentine? 😁
