Started on this at the weekend, funnily enough a new mini drill kit i had ordered from amazon also arrived so put it into use, it does create rather a lot of resin dust, so a mask is required when cuting and sanding bit, however it's pretty amazing at doing what it does and for such a great price and its cordless (£22.99) you can get one from here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08B61KR15/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have already done a review of the kit over here - https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/mmm-200mm-scale-sas-nairobi-dusitd2-terrorist-attack.312055/ Upper and lower torso joined and gap filled with some milliput. Sanded smooth. small resin gates ahve now also been removed;

A crucial phase of the British campaign to retake the Falkland Islands from their Argentinean invaders was about to get under way. An amphibious landing force was preparing to deliver troops into San Carlos Bay, which would become the bridgehead via which the Islands would be retaken. Of concern to the British planners was an Argentine position placed atop Fanning Head, a high ridge that overlooked San Carlos Waters. Radio transmissions had been detected, from an Argentine call sign of 'EC Hermes'. Believed to be half-company sized and covering the approaches to the landing areas with heavy weapons, the Argentine presence was a significant threat to the landings. The task of clearing Fanning Head fell to 3 SBS, supported by HMS Antrim. The Argentine position was located by using a thermal imaging device attached to Antrim's Wessex helicopter. An SBS assault force of some 25 men, many armed with GPMGs, was delivered into the vicinity, piecemeal, by Wessex helicopter. Special Forces Equipment - British Parachutes ISBN : 9782352504429 Histoire & Collections via Casemate UK At first sight a book on British Parachutes for Special Forces from WWII would not seem an engaging subject. I must confess a little bias as one of my relatives made parachutes during WWII as her part towards the total effort. WWII saw the first major use of parachutes to drop troops, special forces, and supplies. The book is 141 pages long, medium format (slightly smaller than A4). The quality of the printing is excellent with colour and black & white pictures throughout. The book covers a wide range of parachute types in use, as well as other jump equipment such as weapons bags and kit bags. There are pictures of kit owned by known operatives and some detail on post war equipment and that used by the French forces in Indochina. The wealth of pictures will enable any figure modeller, or diorama modeller to get things looking right. Conclusion If you are interested in Special Forces, their equipment; parachutes, or parachute operations; or even general military history from WWII then this book is highly recommended.
