I built the IAF A-4 Skyhawk (Ayit) from an old but excellent Hasegawa kit. There were no mentionable difficulties or problems in assembling the kit. It was more or less the good old "shake and bake" process 😃 My model depicts the plane that was used in the pilots' training academy. IAF Skyhawks were also operational in combat missions for instance during the 1973 Yom Kippur war. I bought the pilots' training academy markings from Sky's decals and painted the colourful IAF camo with Xtracolor enamels.I ordered the dorsal avionics hump and the resin jet pipe extension from Cutting edge. This modification was installed in IAF Skyhawks to minimize the effect of the heat guided SAM missiles. I took this picture in 2005 of an A-4 Skyhawk at the Israeli Air Force museum in Hatzerim (near the town of Be'ersheva).

The second finish of 2019: Hasegawa's near thirty year old 190 D? : Kit was bought at the Telford 2018 kitswap for £7 with frazzled decals and old style Eduard masks. Skys decals were used along with Mr Paint/Mr Color paints - main markings were masked and sprayed to avoid silvering issues. Some artistic license was used for the camo as the colours were a bit garish at first, but its done and in the cabinet, not my best but good practice nonetheless. The Hasegawa kit is an absolute honey, beautiful fit, thoughtfully engineered and lovely subtle detailing , if you have one in the stash, do yourself a favour and build it! I've bought two new kits so pleased that two were removed from the stash by the end of January-my resolution not buy anything till I finish an equivalent. Another quick-ish build of the Airfix FW190 new tool. WIP here. Mr Paint RLM colours and various Mr Hobby varnishes. Decals from Skys may not be scaled accurately but were truly exquisitely printed. Weathering by Flory Models dark wash and er, ladies (?) eye shadow...A few challenges but this Butcher Bird looks suitably menacing and is relatively easy to build if you've got enough power tools and superglue 😉 All in all, very satisfying, especially spraying the tiny mottles with my excellent new Badger Sotar 20/20 plus the masked/sprayed top wing Balkankreusz. Still need a few pointers on photography, shame that @IrritableRabbit aka Jonathan Macauley is no longer active, he was a master of the digital model photograph. well that's it from me for today, thanks for looking and have a happy weekend.
