Well here we are a long time after I first proposed this GB we are now up and running. The dates for the GB are from July 6th until October 27th. And now the boring bit, the rules. Anything military whether it flies, drives, floats or even walks is covered as long as it was in service in the region covered by the GB from January 1st 1980 until December 31st 1989. The region covered is basically from Pakistan to the East and includes those areas of the Soviet Union that fall within this and also includes Alaska as the opposite end of what is allowed, so you have a large area to choose from. No what if's or speculative builds, there is more than enough to choose from within our parameters. Any scale of model is allowed and you can fill your boots with adding aftermarket whether it be decals, resin or white metal. All builds must be less than 25% complete at the start of the GB, if you are unsure whether your build falls within this or not then please ask, I will be as generous as possible. All builds must have a WIP build log and can be entered into the Gallery as soon as they are finished but please limit your pictures in the Gallery to no more than 5. No buying and selling allowed in the GB, we have a very good separate section for that. There will be a poll after the GB has finished where you can vote for your favourite model, no canvasing for votes please. Any criticisms or comments of others models are to be polite and constructive. And most importantly HAVE FUN! This is a hobby after all so please enjoy yourselves during your builds and even if just watching others builds. Thanks for taking part. Craig.

We promise to get back to you at our earliest convenience. * As i have posted The M26 counts as 1,160 were converted to M46 (800) & M46a1’s (360) so that should qualify as a direct family connection. 🔷: Please if we’ve missed any versions, variants, or sub-types and you desire to build it. Contact us and one of us will research it and give an answer as soon as possible. 🔷: Any scale or kit will qualify to be entered, including kits, aftermarket, and in one case 3D printed model. ♦️: Standard build rules will apply including the 25% rule. ♦️: No WHIFS there are enough models, types, & variations with these as is. We dont need to think up imaginary tanks. We will consider working prototypes as a project. But no paper projects, that would just be another form of Whif. ♦️: Absolutely no buying, selling, or trading in the group build area. There are areas of the Forum designated for this. Not to mention Personal messaging. Positively no exceptions will be made. 🔷: Please keep your Gallery post to no more than 5 photo’s. THE QUALIFYING VARIANTS : Start with the M26*/46 series. And its spinoffs the T29/30/34 prototypes. Those ultimately helped develop the M103. There was the T39 Prototype Eng. vehicle(M46) which one member is planning on doing. We then have the M47 & its sub-types including the M6 dozer and Iranian Sabalan tank. Next is the M48 & its sub-types including the M67 flame-thrower tank, engineering vehicles, and or Remotely operated vehicles. Which are followed by the M60 & its sub-types. We have an option to build the M88 ARV. Some of you may consider scratchbuilding an M51 ARV based on the M103. You could always try your hand with an M247 Sgt.York. Foreign variations and modifications are definitely encouraged & allowed including Israeli, Taiwanese, Iranian, and others. Any Self-propelled Artillery based on the same chassis. Such as T92, T93 HMC’s based on the M26. The M53-M55 SPH which use components from the M48 drivetrain. One more important thing to remember. This is all about the enjoyment, so please above all else have fun. This will be my 1st ever attempt at hosting a group build, so please go easy on me. 😉 Dennis
