Hello everyone, I'm getting ready to start my F-84F in Illinois A.N.G. markings. The plane wore South East Asian camouflage in 1970 and Im looking for a good color guide. Ive found the T.O. Diagram on Cybermodeler and also a couple of generic ones online. The T.O. Is not well defined to my eyes though as the way they show the different colors is to blurred. Something got messed up in the uploading process or they used a photo copy that was already damaged. However Im looking for a really good well defined guide or photo’s to do the camouflage with. I cant use the aircraft in the Nat’l Museum of the U.S.Air Force as an example. The colors were sprayed on in a generic pattern in the 1970’s or 80’s. To add they bear no resemblance to either color or pattern that I can tell ? Ive got a half decent pattern from a model decal sheet showing an Belgian A.F. aircraft in similar colors. However Im not sure the pattern would be the correct one. I believe they were delivered in N.M.F. and painted at a later time ? If anyone can help or point me in a good direction Id be very grateful ? Dennis

Looking for color analysis of this Greek Air Force F-84F. https://www.airfighters.com/photo/45032/M/Greece-Air-Force/Republic-F-84F-Thunderstreak/52-6789/ It looks similar to the Aegean Blue used on the F-4E’s. I don't know if it ever wore the scheme operationally but I would like to build one in this scheme anyways. I have an Airfix kit looking for a scheme. If not this one its going to be Illinois Air National guard. Dennis

Hello Everybody ... This will be my entry for this build. The classic but very good Monogram Republic F-84F Thunderstreak. I will choose which markings i will do this in as i approach the painting stage. My two - three options are 390th T.F.S out of Chambley-Bussieres France. This one has Yellow/Black striping. The other is the 77th T.F.S. These are the markings of the CO of the 77th. Lt.Col.Bob Ackerly. The 20th were at RAF Wethersfield. From the NMUSAF records. ”Nov 1951–22 May 1952; Wethersfield RAF Station, England, 1 Jun 1952; Shepherds Grove RAF Station (later, RAF Shepherds Grove), England, 9 Aug 1955; RAF Wethersfield, England, 27 Apr 1956.” See everyone when this starts next week, @Col. Thanks for setting this build up im looking forward to it. Dennis
