  1. British Policeman (16011) ICM 1:16 ICM continue their theme of World Police officers, this time with a Police officer although the dress is now a bit dated as more tactical uniforms now seem to be worn. This is the typical Officer seen outside Number 10 Downing Street in the 198-s/1990s back when you could actually walk up Downing Street and speak to the Police up there guarding the door with not a firearm in sight. As with the other kits in this series the instructions are not very clear. They consist of a colour drawing of the completed and painted model, with the parts numbered and arrowed. Seeing that the kit is fairly straightforward it probably won’t worry the seasoned figure builder, but it might put off the beginner. The kit comes with a nicely moulded pedestal, the top of which has a selection of different finishes, plain, curved cobbles, straight cobbles or flag stones. Alternatively the figure can be presented on a plain flat base. Conclusion If you’re a figure modeller then this will be a great way to pass the time. The painting will require a great deal of finesse and patience but the having seen what can be done the results can be amazing. This is really nicely made though and although quite small, (you will need an optivisor to paint the finer details), and it will look really nice in the display cabinet. Available in the UK from importers H G Hannants Ltd. Review sample courtesy of
  2. British Police Female Officer ICM 1:16 ICM continue their theme of World Police officers, this time with a Female armed Police offer from the UK although the dress is now a bit dated as more tactical uniforms now seem to be worn. The main weapon of the HK M5 is also now a bit dates as it looks to have been replaced by differing weapons around the UK. As well as the main MP5 a sidearm and Taser are provided along with other items such as radios and handcuffs. As with the other kits in this series the instructions are not very clear. They consist of a colour drawing of the completed and painted model, with the parts numbered and arrowed.   3. Revell's reboxing of ICM's 1/16th SWAT Officer. I had to get one and have a go, and for £14.99 it seemed good value. Built up with just a few seams that needed a swipe with some Vallejo putty and wiped off with a damp finger, or cotton bud. Only disappointing thing i found was the Crye Airframe helmet(s), which are on the one devoid of all detail and the other the Rails are very soft. so I ordered in a pair of Live Resin replacements, so the good value of £14.99 has now doubled in price. Mind with the CHOPS installed it will give him a different look, even without the CHOPS he will still look different with the sunglasses on. Built up; And Primed; Body Painted; And highlights added, along with a Matt varnish coat; Live Resin head blocked out; And with his helmet in place;
  4. The latest version of Italeri's 1/24 Ford Transit van - the Police Control Van - is now in stock. Order now at our bargain online price.

  6. Hi all, I have recently found this site as I was looking for advice on using a new airbrush kit that I have recently acquired. With the gratefully received advice I have been given, I now know how to add photos so thought I would show my latest creation (see below, I hope!). I hope you guys don't think I'm a fraud as I don't actually build the model from scratch, but strip down and re-paint (if necessary) before applying decals to make an authentic replica. I hope this works and I hope you like! mad4bmws
