  1. Since the original post "1944 -- Having A Ball With Chain Lightning" somehow went T.U., I thought I'd try again, although this time, I'll add just a pic or two and see if the post "takes". If it does, I will edit the post and complete the original first installment! We'll see. Anyway, since I was born in 1944, and the Lockheed XP-58 Chain Lightning first flew that year, and since I've had the Planet Models offering in the stash forever, and this finally seems like a good reason to actually build it, here goes.   2. Hallo This model is from Planet 1/48. Resin kit. All interior was upgraded and improved. At this time, it was our very summit of modelling. Since Hannants sold them cheaper for whatever reason, we bought two land versions and two sea versions. Again my wife and me. We did again all four models. She was Greek and me was British (from Abukir in Egypt), ex Yugoslavian. Happy modelling

  4. Been planning this for a while. I was unsure whether to cross kit or handle the full resin build, but spent some time tonight weighing up the pro's and cons. On the whole, most of the issues with the Revell Lanc are confined to the wings except for the front turret, so I cut the vac formed front turret out on the Planet kit and the fit is excellent in the front of the Revell fuselage, so that finalised the decision. I'll be running a couple of aluminium spars through the fuselage in to the resin wings like I did on the last one a few years ago for rigidity. I've actually got two Planet Manche
