SF-260 Italian Pilots (F72375) 1:72 CMK by Special Hobby Quite often its great to have a figure, or couple of figures to add to a finished model on a base to bring it more to life. This set from CMK is for their new SF-360 kits, though it can be used for a variety of aircraft. The set arrives in the usual yellow-themed CMK blister pack, with the instructions sandwiched between the resin parts and the header card. Inside are the two figures. The casting is up to the usual high standards from CMK/Special Hobby with minimal clean up being needed. One of figures is wearing a parachute and the other holding a helmet. Conclusion Detail is excellent, and will add a great touch to any suitable model. Recommended. Review sample courtesy of

WWII Allied Pilots in the Cockpit (British, American, Soviet) ICM 1:32 (32112) Figures This new set from ICMs is no doubt designed for their new 1/32 scale kits, but can be used elsewhere. There is one pilot for each nationality with the appropriate clothing and parachute. In general the moulding is crisp and clean with plenty of detail. Like all of ICM's recent figures these are well sculpted and should build up well. Conclusion This is another great set from ICM and looks like a direct add on for their new kits (though they can be used elsewhere) Highly recommended. WWII China Guomindang AF Pilots (32115) 1:32 ICM The Kit This is a new set from ICM no doubt to fit in with a number of Chinese National marking options in their kits. There are two standing pilots and one officer giving a briefing. The pilots are provided with separate parachute packs. As with all ICM figure sets the sculpting looks top notch. US Helicopter Pilots (Vietnam War) (32114) 1:32 ICM The Kit This is a new set from ICM no doubt to fit in with their new line of kits. There are two standing pilots and one sitting, though this third figure could also be a crew man. As well as the sprue for the figures there are two smaller sprues with flight helmets. As with all ICM figure sets the sculpting looks Conclusion This is a good looking set which will provide the modeller with some crew for their new helos. Highly recommended. US Pilots & Ground Personnel (Vietnam War) ICM 1:48 (48087) Figures This new set from ICMs is no doubt designed for their new upcoming 1/48 scale kits, but can be used elsewhere. There is two pilot getting ready for flying, one carrying as helmet. Also in the set is another officer figure (possibly maintenance) also with two ground crew. The uniforms are Vietnam era and the sculpting is up to ICM's high standards. Conclusion This is another great set from ICM and looks like a direct add on for their new kits (though they can be used elsewhere) Highly recommended. Italian Pilots in Tropical Uniform (1939-1943) ICM 1:32 (32110) Figures This is ICMs figure set no doubt designed for their new CR.42 kit, but could be used elsewhere. There are two pilots standing and one sitting stroking his dog, this dog is also included, and the dog being held by the standing figure is moulded in; as it would seem from wartime photos that Pilots of any nation were quite fond of having their dogs around. All are what would be considered dressed for the period and the climate. In general the moulding is crisp and clean with plenty of detail. . Like ICM's recent figures these are well sculpted and should build up well. Conclusion This is another great set from ICM and looks like a direct add on for their new CR.42 kits (though they can be used elsewhere) Highly recommended. British Pilots in Tropical Uniform ICM 1:32 (32106) Figures This is ICMs figure set and while it says British Pilots it would encompass a lot of commonwealth nations as well. There are two pilots and another standing office who look like they are in a briefing scenario. All are what would be considered dressed for the period and the climate. In general the mould in crisp and clean with plenty of detail. . Like ICM's recent figures these are well sculpted and should build up well. Conclusion This is another great set from ICM and looks like a direct add on for their new Gladiator kits (though they can be used elsewhere) Highly recommended. Soviet Pilots (1939 – 1942) ICM1:32 ICM have a great selection of figures in their catalogue, the latest set is of is for Soviet Pilots, consisting of two pilots and a member of the operations staff. One pilot is in a sitting position, just right to pose in your lovely I-16 or I-153. The other pilot is standing and should be posed with the third figure as it looks like he’s giving the pilot a briefing before a mission. Each figure is made up from separate legs/lower torso, upper torso, arms and head; the standing pilot also has a two piece helmet. Then there is a selection of map and ammunition pouches, holsters, and parachutes and goggles. The parachute packs could do with some better webbing as the two parts provided for the standing pilot don’t look that realistic. Conclusion As usual ICM brings us something a little different, and it’s nice to see some 1:32 scale figures for use with their lovely aircraft kits. Review sample courtesy of

German Luftwaffe Pilots (1935-1945) 32101 1:32 ICM Adding figures to a model gives it scale and realism that is hard to otherwise achieve, and often this is done with resin figures that are both expensive and for those not too keen on resin, this can be off-putting. Styrene figures however are simple to deal with, and with advances in sculpting and moulding techniques they are becoming more detailed and realistic as time passes (unless I paint them!). This new set from ICM, who have an excellent reputation for injection moulded figures, depicts a group of WWII Luftwaffe pilots stood relaxing. It arrives in a top-opening box, with the usual inner flap on top, with a single sprue of medium grey styrene inside, together with a sheet of instructions on glossy paper. The figures are moulded very crisply, and at 1:32 they are large enough to show off subtle details such as zipper pockets, boot details, insignia and other badges. Couple this with the breakdown of parts, and you will have a highly detailed figure once you have assembled them. The moulding seams are minimal, with slender sprue gates that also won't need much clean up, and the parts join at convenient breaks such as waists, trouser seams etc. One chap has his hands out in front of him, which necessitates his arms being separate from the elbow down, so a little filler may be needed there, but precious little if any should be required elsewhere. The two capped figures have their heads moulded as a single part, while the pilot with a peaked cap has a two part head, split at the cap brim, and each pilot has a side arm in holster that should be glued onto his waistband. Two of the figures have moulded-in life vests, while the third does not, instead having a ¾ length coat with fleecy collar turned up around his neck. Each of them have their faces turned subtly skywards as if they are watching their colleagues return after a mission, having already landed themselves. The instructions show the part numbers and paint codes on the same diagram, which relates to a table on the rear in Revell and Tamiya codes with the colour names in English and Cyrillic text. Conclusion Excellent sculpting, sensible part breakdown to maximise detail, and three pilots in the one box make for a good value package that will be of great use to large scale WWII Luftwaffe modellers. Hi! I've been hanging around here for a Little time now and was wondering if you can help me? I've just gotten my Airfix 1/48 TSR.2 out and was wondering if the pilot figures can be used as typical RAF-pilots of the era and be used in e.g. Phantom FGR.2's or Jaguar's? They look a bit small to me, but my eyesight isn't was it used to be! Thanks in advance! Hans J
