  1. Ok this was something I originally suggested way back in 2013 but then it was just for the airforce, this was a bit restrictive. It got into this years vote and I had completely forgotten about it and didnt remove the earlier restrictions. But it seems like there is still a lot of interest in this so its now opened up completely. So if it was made in Italy or wore the Italian colours then bring it along. I have always liked the flare and passion the Italians put into their designs and if that wasnt enough then add a few more cylinders or even an extra engine!! Which would you rather listen to a Ferrari 250GTO a Lamborghini Miura or a 60s Renault or 2CV!! So lets go for a drive around Tuscany, a cruse over Lake Como, sail the Tyrrhenian Sea, or a flight along the Amafi Coast. Lets live the good life in 2016! ok the list..... 1, trickyrich - Host 2, Mitch K 3, vppelt68 4, JOCKNEY 5, Lex77 6, CliffB 7, Giorgio N 8, Prenton 9, milktrip 10, Arniec - Co-Host 11, Bonhoff 12, Caerbannog 13, Paul J 14, swat11 15, TallPaul 16, Chimpion 17, Doug Rogers 18, hgbn 19, feoffee2 20, Ettore 21, SleeperService 22, iJones 23, Shermaniac 24, Mitch K 25, maltadefender 26, JackG 27, RobG 28, 06/24 29, Enzo Matrix 30, pinetree_fella 31, Hardtarget 32, SAU 33, Blitz23 34, usetherudders 35, wellzy 36, wimbledon99

  4. Ok while having a long boring nightshift I have come up with an idea for a GB which could include almost everyone! A South Latin American GB Ok after lots of requests by everyone.....well Steve anyway, I had a think about this and decided to open it up to the rest of Latin America. This GB will now cover anything and everything South American "of the border", as long as it was used there or built there it’s ok. There should be a bit of something for everybody here with all forms of transport covered, both military and civilian, even the automotive crowd with Dakar bikes/cars/trucks So countries eligible; Argentina Bolivia Brazil Chile Colombia Costa Rica Cuba Dominican Republic Ecuador El Salvador Gaudeloupe Guatemala Guyana Haiti Honduras Mexico Nicaragua Panama Paraguay Peru Puerto Rico Suriname Uruguay Venezuela Plus French Guiana Falkland Islands Martinique Saint Barthelemy Saint Martin The are some amazing and interesting subjects available which you wouldn't normally see or think about.....so what do you think? 5. Naval Weathering Sets AK Interactive So, you’ve read the review, bought and viewed the weathering DVD reviewed HERE and now you want to start trying out the techniques demonstrated in it. To begin with you need to get some weathering effects and AK Interactive has released two sets just for the maritime modeller. Each set has three 35ml jars of weathering colours. They are to the usual AK Interactive standard, being easy to use straight from the bottle after a good vigorous shake. The only downside for some modellers is the need to use white spirit to reduce and clean up the areas being weathered. The first set, naturally named Naval 1, (AK 555), contains a wash for grey hulls, (AK-302), a wash for Kriegsmarine ships, (AK-303) and a brown streaking grime for red hulls, (AK-304). The second set, Naval 2, (AK 556), contains a dark wash for wooden decks, (AK-301), streaking grime for light grey ships (AK-305) and salt streaks for ships, (AK-306). Using either a combination of colours or the whole set, with care and attention some really great effects should be manageable for the weathering beginner. Conclusion These sets are a very welcome addition to AK Interactives product line as maritime modellers seem to get left behind when it comes to products like these. Being easy to use and very effective I can recommended them to all maritime modellers, whether you build as a mounted display or a seascape the look of a model can be transformed. I will certainly be putting these to good use. Review sample courtesy of
